The Asphalt 9: Legends game features 6 different ways to play:
Classic: In this mode the player must win the race in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place as indicated by the race.
Elimination: In this mode the player whose position is the last will be eliminated from the race in a short period of time that when reaching 0 the player is eliminated and the timer is restarted, the goal is to be the last player on the track.
Overclock: In this mode the player who remains in the last position for more than 3 seconds, picks up a bottle of nitro or hits other players with overclock will receive an overclock and the statistics of his car will be increased for a period of time, the player can increase the timer by picking up bottles of nitro, doing acrobatics or hitting other players. At the end of this time period the car will overload and decrease its statistics before returning to its normal state. The goal is still to win the race.
Stunts: In this mode the player will have to do acrobatics, if he does them regularly he will get combos. The mode has a time limit and the player must reach one of the 3 established scores. Each goal achieved will give the player a race flag.
Time Attack: In this mode the race has a time limit to win the race. The finish line must be crossed before time runs out and time is added to the stopwatch each time the player passes a checkpoint.
Hunting: In this mode players have a time limit to win the race, they must escape the cops. 360° spin acrobatics can be performed to bring them down, if the player is shipwrecked he will be disqualified.
