The idea of creating this application comes from 2009, when Paulo Trezentos made the proposal that was soon accepted. Two years later, in November 2011, it was established in Europe.
It became very well known, in fact in 2013 Aptoide received 750,000 in seed funds from Portugal Ventures. Today it is available in 17 languages and almost everyone knows it.
The main idea was to develop something that was not planned and controlled by Google. Anyone who created an app could share it with the rest of what Android was using.
To download Aptoide it is clearly not possible to use Google Play, as there is a non-compete clause in the distribution agreement. However, if you want it on your phone, you have to allow installation from "unknown sources" on imports from your phone.
Today, Aptoide is an independent Android Market with more than 60,000 applications for free download on smartphones, tablets and computers.
A few days ago, was born the new version of Aptoide, the 6.3.0. that we may love and surprise with improvements and optimizations described below.
Despite this Google told users that Aptoide IS NOT a secure App, because it can contain malware and damage cell phones. Unfortunately there is something real about what Google wrote: this can happen when we download apps from stores other than the Play Store.
